It’s been the talk of the town for a few months now and it hasn’t even opened it’s doors yet!

Last Friday evening I was very lucky to get a behind-the-scenes peek at Wilde, Dublin’s hottest new bar, club and venue. Located on Wicklow Street opposite Louis Vuitton and headed up by Julian Benson, Wilde is cosmopolitan, straight-friendly and a welcome addition to Dublin’s nightlife.

Designed by Ann-Marie O’Neill of O’Donnell O’Neill Design Associates (who has also worked on the award-winning boutique hotel, The Merchant in Belfast), Wilde has been designed with glamour in mind! When I stopped by it was still in the process of getting the final finishing touches before the official launch party on Thursday, but as you can see from my photos, what I saw looked amazing! With a capacity for 600 people, Wilde is divided into different zones including a bar, performance space, gallery and private areas for the VIPs.

Open 7 days a week, Wilde will operate as an upmarket bar in the early evenings before introducing an eclectic entertainment programme and club elements later in the night. Each night will be themed with something for everyone, from a musical night and burlesque, to a night of Oscar movies and even an evening of cupcakes and cocktails!

The venue is decked out in black and gold. Eye-catching artwork pops off the walls and ceilings, and are further highlighted with neon recessed lighting in hues of blue and green. There are glimmering chandeliers and touches of leopard print, a luxurious gold bed in the VIP area, corseted armchairs with hints of lace, deep rouge drapes, elaborate lighting, and even a gold poodle hidden in a glass case! And it’s not just the seats that are padded – the walls are too! Wilde is glamour at its highest with intricate detail and special touches lurking in every corner.

Here’s my exclusive peek of what to expect when it opens this Friday…

What do you think of Wilde? Are you planning on checking it out when the doors officially open this weekend?
